Become one of our valued volunteers
Whilst volunteers are not paid and give of their own time, it is well known that volunteering can provide enormous benefits for the volunteer as well as for those the volunteer helps. Volunteering is an opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, meet new people, and make friends, grow in confidence, it can be a route into employment, provide a sense of purpose and makes a positive difference in the community.
How much time do I need to commit to?
Evergreen offers flexible volunteering opportunities. We know at times life can be busy and people have a variety of commitments. We are happy to welcome volunteers on an ad-hoc basis who can only commit to what they feel they can easily achieve. It might be a one-off event or a more open-ended commitment that they can dip in and out of. It needs to work for you and be enjoyable and worthwhile. Any help will be gratefully received be it the odd hour or on a more structured basis.
What qualifications or skills do I require?
Our volunteers have a wide range of backgrounds. We aim to find a volunteer role that matches your interests, skills and availability. Whatever a volunteer's background, the help they provide is vital, very gratefully received and enhances the lives of the people we serve.
