Evergreen will soon reach its 20 year Milestone, since its founding in May 2005. We are celebrating this achievement with an Anniversary Ball on Saturday 26th April 2025, at the Rutland Hall Hotel. Previous balls have played an important part in our ability to raise vital funds, and if earlier balls are anything to go by, then our anniversary ball will be an enjoyable and lively affair.
So please make a note in your diary for 26th April 2025 - it will be upon us before you know it - and give a thought to coming along and having some fun. The ball will also allow us to pay tribute to those staff, volunteers and friends who have played such an important part in promoting Evergreen care Trust over the past two decades.
Tickets cost £43 a head. You will enjoy a three course meal followed by (optional!) dancing. We will have a tombola stall and a silent auction, both offering terrific prizes. If obtaining ball tickets through the QR code on the right is not your thing, then they are available through Evergreen Reception.
We are delighted to be able to confirm our ‘20th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service’ on Sunday 1st June 2025, 3:00pm – 4:00pm at All Saints Church in Stamford.
Everybody is welcome to attend and we do hope as many of you as can, will save the date in your diary and join us for this special occasion.
One A'Chord held a Summer Concert in June in aid of Evergreen Care Trust and Burghley Park and Peterborough Ladies for Cancer Research UK.
The concert was, as usual, very well attended and the audience was treated to a selection of modern, and not so modern, popular music. There was no admission charge, but with raffle sales and donations on the night together with a topup from the group's funds, they were delighted to be able to donate £800 each to the charities.
At a recent meeting, Linda Smith of One A'Chord handed cheques over to Louise Marsh, Founder of Evergreen Care Trust and Jo Keogh, Treasurer of Burghley Park and Peterborough Ladies for Cancer Research UK.
One A'Chord have two charity concerts a year and have already started rehearsing for their Winter Concert on 30 November.

They said "Evergreen Care Trust run a twice weekly Friendship Group at Stamford Free Church, and twice a month they have a Move It or Lose It session.
This is seated exercise for seniors and is fun for all. This exercise is beneficial not only for the body but also the mind, stimulating blood circulation and co-ordination as well as concentrating on the legs, hands, and arms.
“Many of our members have some mobility impairment and even if they don’t feel up to exercising, they always say they feel much better after the session. It really is a mood lifter” Jenny Weston, Move it or Lose it coach."

On Thursday 16th February the first Evergreen & Birch Tree Friendship Lunch was held – it was a lovely event, a great time was had by everybody and the food was delicious!
It is a unique social and friendship event in a separate reception room which enables older people to enjoy either a soup / roll or sandwich – followed by tea / cake and then cards / games or a chat. All for £5.
The young adults with Down’s Syndrome prepare the food, set up the table and serve and it provides an opportunity to build their skills and confidence as they socialise with guests.
Every third Thursday of the month 12:00pm - 2:30pm
The Friendship Group is aimed at older socially isolated people in Easton on the Hill, Stamford and surrounding villages and is held in a private room located on the site of the www.birchtreecafe.co.uk Evergreen can potentially help with transport for people to attend.
