Our trained Home Support Workers are dedicated to helping you remain as independent as possible in the comfort of your own home. During an initial home assessment, we take the time to understand your preferences, routines, and the type of support you may need. Once everything is agreed, you will be matched with your own regular Home Support Worker, whose goal is always to ‘make your day’ in ways that truly matter to you.
Our team can offer companionship, assistance with meals and meal preparation, support with spring cleaning and everyday domestic tasks such as laundry, ironing, and changing bedding. They can help with shopping or complete it on your behalf, unpack and organise deliveries, collect prescriptions, and ensure you stay connected to the people, hobbies, and activities that bring you joy. They are also able to drive and accompany you to appointments, social outings, special events, or simply stop by to check on your wellbeing.
We understand that many people find themselves caring for loved ones while trying to balance the demands of daily life. As care needs grow, so can the pressure and the time commitment required. We recognise these challenges, and our Home Support staff can step in to stay with your loved one while you take time for the things you need—or would simply like—to do.
As part of our companionship service, we can keep your loved one company, take them out for a trip, or visit briefly to ensure everything is well, giving you valuable respite. Our aim is to offer peace of mind, knowing your loved one is safe, supported, and cared for while you take a well‑deserved break.
Our service operates from Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm across Stamford, Bourne, The Deepings & surrounding villages. Please note we do not cover public holidays. Our visits range from 30 minutes to 4 hours, but these can be negotiated as your assessment.

Hi, I’m Holly! I grew up in a little village called Caldecott, just outside of Uppingham. A fun fact about me is that when I was 11, I had the amazing opportunity to dance for Queen Elizabeth II in Corby—an unforgettable experience that I still cherish to this day.
On my perfect day off, you’ll find me curled up on my comfy sofa watching films. I’ve always loved stories full of mystery and adventure, which is why, if I could spend a week inside any TV show or book, I’d choose Lost. I grew up watching it and was always captivated by its twists and turns.
I joined Evergreen Care Trust in May 2024, so I’ve now been part of the team for just over a year. I initially started as a Home Support Worker, but within my first month, I transitioned into an administrative role in the office—something I was really proud of. It was a big shift, but I embraced the opportunity and quickly adapted.
In my current role, I focus on organising staff rotas and ensuring that our members receive the support they need. My day usually starts at 9am, checking emails and messages that may have come in overnight. A large part of my day involves handling phone calls—both incoming and outgoing—mainly to arrange cover or manage staff sickness. I also prepare files for new members, making sure all the necessary paperwork is photocopied and ready for our support staff, so they have everything they need before heading out on visits.
One of my biggest achievements so far has been stepping into this admin role so quickly and learning how to coordinate everything efficiently. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I play a part in keeping our care services running smoothly, supporting both our team and the people we care for.
I feel really supported by my manager and the rest of the office team. They’re always there to answer questions or guide me if I’m unsure about something, and that strong sense of teamwork makes a big difference in our day-to-day work.
When I think about the benefits of having a Home Support Worker from Evergreen, I believe it's all about helping our members stay in their own homes for as long as possible. It gives them someone who visits regularly, builds a relationship, and becomes a familiar, trusted presence. We do our best to assign the same staff members to each client, which really helps build consistency and comfort.
Looking to the future, I hope Evergreen continues to grow so we can reach even more people and help them remain independent in their own homes. What motivates me every day is knowing that I’m part of a team that truly cares, working to ensure our members receive the support they need and deserve.
