The purpose of the Clean Team is to restore, dignity, order and cleanliness to a member or service user's home. Their home may deteriorate for any number of reasons, leaving them feeling overwhelmed. It may be clutter, rubbish, or loss of housekeeping skills. This is often a very challenging but rewarding volunteer role.
All clean team activity is done with the member's permission, no decisions to remove items from their home is done outside of this. With their consent the Clean Team arranges a one off deep clean and property blitz to restore a safe, clean and orderly home environment.
This often provides impetus for the member to regain control and a necessary boost and restoring pride in their personal space. This volunteer service is dependent upon the member agreeing to have a minimum of six months Home Support maintenance which is a paid for service provided by Evergreen.
